AEDS

NUEMS helps keep campus safe by ensuring life-saving equipment is always ready when needed. Every few months, we check all Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to confirm they’re working properly, verify that AED pads are within their expiration date, and restock Narcan when necessary. Through these routine checks, we make sure vital tools for cardiac arrest and opioid emergencies are reliable and accessible to everyone in our community. These checks also help us keep our recognition as a HEARTSafe Community by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
