National Public Health Week | April 6th, 2014
 
NUEMS will be at the health fair in Centenial Common for National Public Health Week from 11:30AM to 3:00 PM. We will be demonstrating spinal immobilization techniques and taking vital signs. We hope to see you there!


Spring Fest | March 30th, 2014

NUEMS crews will be stationed in Northeastern's historic Matthew's Arena during the Spring Fest Concert on April 5th. 


Spring Continuing Education Classes | March 20th, 2014

NUEMS is proud to announce the addition of two continuing education classes for the spring semester - "Management of Behavioral Emergencies" and "Cardiac Care and Interprofessional Communication." Both with be free simulation experiences utilizing Northeastern's brand new Goldstein Simulation Suite in the basement of the Behrakis Health Science Center. Each class has a prerequisite online class that has been approved for 1 hour of ConEd. The simulations have each been approved for 2 hours of ConEd for a total of 3 hours per class.

Clinical Lecture Series Part 4 | March 13th, 2014

Northeastern University Emergency Medical Services is proud to present Part 4 of our Clinical Lecture Series - "The Boston Marathon Bombings: Lessons Learned at the Finish Line" presented by emergency physician Dr. Bryan Canterbury, M.D. FACEP. All are welcome to attend this lecture on Monday, March 24th, 2014 in Shillman Hall Room 308.

Student Civic Engagement Grant | March 12th, 2014

Northeastern University Emergency Medical Services was awarded the Student Civic Engagement Grant to train sixty individuals from the Madison Park and Roxbury Community in CPR in order to both rectify racial and socioeconomic disparities in survival of out of hospital cardiac arrest, as well as to provide a "head start" on training to begin a career in healthcare.

This Executive Board then formed a committee and reviewed applications for "officer" positions. Those positions are as follows:

Part One of the Election Process| January 21st, 2014

Start thinking about who you'd like to nominate for new 2014 executive positions. Nominations, the first part of the election process, will take place next Wednesday, January 29th, 2014 in 450a Dodge Hall at 6:30 PM. Please keep in mind that any member of NUEMS may nominate anyone, including his or herself for any position. After the "Director" positions are filled by a general membership majority vote, "Officers" will then be nominated and appointed by the Directors.


First Meeting of the Spring Semester| January 6th, 2014

Our first meeting of the Spring 2014 semester will be Wednesday, January 15th at 6:30 PM in 230 Dodge Hall. We will be discussing elections for E-Board that are coming up soon and well as other important information.
